2012 Effie Colombia Winners Announced

The ceremony took place at Gimnasio Moderno in  Bogotá and brought together not only to advertising agencies, media agencies, digital agencies, but call upon clients who have opted to create effective and differentiated marketing campaigns.

The winners were evaluated by 100 judges that focused on analyzing the goals accomplished and the fulfilled aims of each campaign, hereby the categories that obtained gold, silver and bronze were: Packaged Food, hygiene and personal care, Financial Services, Promotions, Activations, Relationship Marketing , Social Transformation, Media Idea and Sustained success.

While other categories only rewarded with two awards were: Cleaning and maintenance for home and office, Office Furniture and Accessories, Public and Private Services, Government and Institutions campaigns, Clothing and Footwear, Internet, Low Budget, Retail and Shopper marketing.

The categories with a single award were: Non Alcoholic Beverages, Alcoholic Beverages, OTC and RX, Electronics, Automotive Vehicles, Automotive Products and Services, Travel and Tourism, New Products and Services, Media Companies, Internal Marketing and Pet Care.

Advertisers rewarded with a gold award were:  Alpina Productos Alimenticios, Bavaria, Kimberly Colpapel, Daimler Colombia S.A, Banco Davivienda, Jardín Plaza, Arcángeles, Nestle Purina, Compañía Colombia Automotriz, Avesco,  Inversiones Inmobiliarias Arauco, Éxito and Ministerio de Defensa Nacional (Colombia's secretary of defense with three gold awards in the following categories: Activation, Media Idea and Government and Institutions campaigns)

Also among advertisers with more awards were: Alpina, Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett Packard, each with three references and Ministerio de Defensa Nacional with 5 prizes, and as mentioned earlier, three of the awards are gold

Among the advertising agencies the top 4 most awarded were : LOWE SSP3 with 10 awards, Proximity with 9, Sancho BBDO and DDB with 7 and 6 awards respectively

The Grand Effie was awarded to
Daimler/Aguayo , with the campaign Vladdo. the Grand Effie winner is chosen from the campaigns that have won a gold Effie award, except to the participants in the categories: Social Transformation, Media and Sustainable Success, which do not participate in the Grand Prix.

The Effie Awards were founded in 1968 by the American Marketing Association, New York Chapter, as an awards program to recognize the most effective advertising efforts and 
to reward those ideas and creative strategies whose effectiveness was demonstrated  each year, the Effie awards are present in over 40 countries around the world. In Colombia these awards represented by ANDA (National Association of Advertisers) the only professional organization that assesses the effectiveness of communications and advertising. The Effie awards are supported  by the academic partner Universidad Eafit.
