Nike, Procter & Gamble and Unilever win 2012 Global Effie Awards

The Global Effie Awards were created to honor the year’s most effective global marketing communications ideas – ideas that work. The 2012 Global Effie’s brought together over 55 top executives from around the world to participate at judging events in Singapore, London and New York.
A Gold Global Effie was presented to Wieden+Kennedy for “Write the Future” for Nike Football (Nike). Also honored were the contributing agencies: AKQA, Mindshare and Razorfish. Grey Worldwide was awarded a Silver Global Effie for “Breathe Happy Global Campaign” for Febreze/Ambi Pur (Procter & Gamble). Possible Worldwide, G2, MSL and SMG were the contributing agencies honored for this case. Lowe Lintas and Partners took home the Bronze Global Effie for “Superfast Handwash” for Lifebuoy (Unilever Asia Private Limited).
There were four finalists acknowledged by this year’s Global Effie Competition. Ponce (Argentina) was a finalist for “Axe Dark Temptation” for Axe/Lynx (Unilever). Lola (Spain) was a finalist for their campaign “Magnum Gold?! As Good as Gold.” for Magnum/Magnum Gold (Unilever). “The Web is What you Make of it” created by BBH New York for Google Chrome (Google Inc.) also made it to the final round along with “You are the Controller” presented by twofifteenmccann for Kinect for Xbox 360 (Microsoft).
All Global Effie winners and finalists will earn points in the 2012 Effie Effectiveness Index. The Effie Index identifies and ranks the marketing communications industry’s most effective agencies, advertisers and brands by analyzing finalist and winner data from Effie Worldwide’s 40+ competitions on a yearly basis. The Effie Effectiveness Index is produced in partnership with Warc, the global marketing intelligence service.
